Snow Day

A couple of weeks ago, the RVA got a couple of inches of snow on a Friday afternoon/evening. Unfortunately, schedules did not allow for a Saturday a.m. ride, but things did align nicely for MS and me to get out Sunday morning.

We arrived at the trailhead at 7:30 with a temp of 24 degrees — the trails were still snow covered and nicely frozen.

Even though there was clear evidence of other riders beating us to the punch on Saturday, we still managed to get in first tracks on some trail side features.

We even found a nice spot for a coffee break.

Following is a video I put together. As usual, I’d recommend setting to 720p HD for best viewing quality. Sorry for the abrupt ending. I had some technical difficulties and didn’t feel like re-doing the whole thing. Music: Let Go by Frou Frou.

It was another great new experience on the local trails.
